Welcome to the Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area

President, Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area

We are a service organization chartered by Zonta International, a professional and executive women's organization whose purpose is to promote the status of women worldwide.

Our mission is to support women's efforts to improve their lives, through global and local service projects.

The Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area has a rich history of contributing to service organizations in Ventura County. We work closely with battered women's programs and other local health, education, and advocacy service programs, ensuring that monetary contributions are made to continue support for women and children who may be victims of domestic violence.

We offer a $1,000 Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship to a high school senior at one of our local High Schools every year. Our five Women Helping Women Scholarships of $1,000 each have become a source of hope for many women over the age of 25 who have decided to either resume studies or begin collegiate studies. And the $5,000 Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is awarded to an applicant whose professional and career goals relate to advancing women in the field of business. All of the monies we use to contribute to international programs and local efforts are donated through our club members and through our annual fundraisers.

Like tea, finger sandwiches, beautiful gift baskets, and soft harp music? Our annual Victorian Tea is our primary fall fundraiser to support these service programs and scholarships, and is held the first Saturday or Sunday in November. We have a busy fall with a lot of fun and fellowship.

In the Spring, usually the first Friday of May, we host Special Kids Day, an event for handicapped children, held at the Conejo Valley Fairgrounds. The rest of the year may find us at any number of community events promoting the benefits of membership in our organization.

Please explore the rest of our site to learn more about our legacy, our heritage, our members, and our efforts to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.
